Presentations

Today the last two teams gave their presentations in business class, and my team was one of them. My team was the first one to go. First, the leader, Kate, introduced the topic and explained what each of us was going to talk about. We were talking about the riots that have been going on in France lately because of a new job law that Paris officials have been trying to pass. I was the next one to go after Kate. I talked about how globalization will benefit France and the rest of Europe, and why it is a good idea for France to have the new labor laws. Then Daniel talked about the history of France, and after that Chris talked about the present conditions in France. Then Kate concluded the presentation by taking questions from people in the rest of the class. After my team finished my friend Nick's team gave their presentations about identity and credit card theft. They were discussing things like how people sometimes have their money stolen when other people access personal information on their credit cards and also through mail fraud.

I think it's kind of strange how before there were six teams, but this time there were only five teams. On Friday the first team went and on Monday the other two teams gave their presentations. One of the teams on Monday was led by my friend Bob, who was on my team the last time, and they were talking about immigration. The other team that went that day was led by my friend Pam and they talked about oil prices, and the team that went on Friday talked about college credits and how much you need to transfer to four-year schools. So this week marked the end of team presentations. The next time we do presentations they will be individual ones. I've really enjoyed working on these team projects. Both times I got to work with really nice people who are also my friends. Today Kate and the teacher told me I did a really good job. I also think that everybody else did a really good job too.
